With all sweet and adventurous memory we headed back to Mumbai. Reached Mumbai at 9:00 PM. Phew a 12 hour journey from Gangtok to Mumbai!

The view of Teesta was so amazing, I just clicked it all the way to Bagdogra!

We started our journey back to Bagdogra, along the picturesque Teesta River.

Kabi Lungchok is 17 kms from Gangtok on the North Sikkim Highway. This is where the historic treaty of blood brotherhood between the Lepcha Chief Te-Kung-Tek and the Bhutia Chief Khey-Bum-Sa was signed ritually.

The spot where the ceremony took place is marked by a memorial stone pillar amidst the cover of dense forest.

Cycling at Phensang Monastery! Kids trying their level best to maintain the balance.

This monastery in North Sikkim was built in 1721. In 1947 it was completely gutted by fire and was rebuilt in 1948. There are around 300 monks in the monastery and the main annual function of the monastery is on the 28th & 29th days of the tenth month of the Tibetan calendar which roughly falls in the month of December/ January.
