On our way back to Gangtok, we halted at the Seven Sister waterfalls. This waterfall is located at a distance of 32 KMs of Gangtok.

The building of Labrang has an unusual shape of an octagon.

Built towards the end of nineteenth century, this monastery belongs to the Nyingmapa sect.

Labrang was so tranquil that we spent quite a time there observing the Monastery and the surroundings.

We spent quite a time at Phodang relaxing a bit amidst the tranquil environment. It is really a peaceful place to be.

The Phodang Monastery is located about 38 Kms north of Gangtok. This monastery, built in 1740, was Sikkim’s leading Kargyudpa centre till Rumtek claimed this in th 1960s.
